You can still get the mid rise, and that's what I buy because I'm a shortie. The super-low risers went out with your girl Britney. Not that I think ass cleavage or a visible thong was ever a good look, but I'm way too old for any of that anyway.

Some of my jeans are considered "low rise" or "mid rise" because I'm short. I always check the rise on jeans when buying. I like buying vintage jeans from Etsy that have been distressed and had some work done to them. I like a bit of a boho look when I can. I have a short torso, so what a "low or mid" rise is for many women fits me like a normal jean.
There's no way I'd ever wear those super-duper ultra-low rise jeans though. Some of those are just way too low.
I think if I wore "high waisted" mom jeans, they would come up under my girls.

I used to have a job in a tourist area where I had to sit in a booth all day. Only thing to do was people watch. Saw a lot of women give themselves a wedgie, especially before they take a photo. |

They stretch so much I can get them over her body brace. but not for me. lol I think they're cute with a long sweater and tunic or large hoodie. NOT the way my daughter and her friends wear them. Still, it's better than having your thong showing I guess. I need pockets, that's why I don't wear them. |
