Are books obsolete, things from a bygone era? Since data can be stored and transmitted electronically it would seem that books/magazines/newspapers made from cellulose are as relevant to society as are buggy whips and kerosene lamps. Books are space consuming relics that are of no use save food for termites. I disagree with that line of thought. Books remain quite useful in our current era. Here are some ways we can enjoy them for eons to come. Books can be the support components for structures like igloos: Books can renovate our inner cities Have you ever wondered what Germans and British do with discarded telephone booths? It's easy to see that these fellows love books: There's no need for books any longer, you say? Think again. They are the gateway to life. Istanbul benches belie the claim that books are obsolete.
