One. Don't use it much at all. I have some automatic payments set up to be charged to it and pay it off each month.

Sheesh! For me 1 is enough. Why would you need 3?

Sheesh! For me 1 is enough. Why would you need 3? Hi TC I have one for in store purchases. The other is for automatic payments like health care. This way if we need to cancel a credit card we still have one. That is why we have 2. I had another for 'just in case' but they cancelled it for inactivity. Hope all's well with you

I have two and am considering getting a third. I just got the second in December. As I mentioned, it is nice to have a card for specific uses: in store, on line, regular payments like health care. Congrats! As long as you pay them off every month, get as many as you like.

I have 3.
- The one from the bank that I've been with since the early 70's, which I consider to be my main card.
- I was the executor of my parents' will. After my mother died, my brother and I decided to leave funds in that long established account, and the institution issued a card.
- A local Radio/TV "consumer reporter," with whom I used to work, advocated having a card with a low monthly limit for use in online orders, in case a card number should fall to hackers, and be subject to a "raid" on your main account. He further suggested that the bank for that card not be with your main bank. I chose an out of state bank.

Sheesh! For me 1 is enough. Why would you need 3? Especially if the second one is only barely two months old! ~~~becsuse one is fixing to spend more that they make. They think this is free money.

Two. One for everything and I've for Uber (not an Uber card I just use it for only uber things.
Various store only cards... Target, Best Buy... Only use those for that store, obviously but I only go there for specific reasons. Especially hard when it's now and we can't just hop on busses and subways and trek all over the five boroughs.
