Gays who dress like women are usually drag queens. They were just given more fabulous genes in their biological makeup. 
If a male dresses as a woman for sexual kicks, he is usually considered a transvestite and may not necessarily be gay. He is just turned on by external feminine aspects of women. There is so much confusion and misconceived perceptions\notions about what being gay\homosexual means, and gay guys dressing like a woman does not mean all gay guys care to do this. I would say there are more gay guys that appreciate the masculine attire, as opposed to those that prefer a more feminine or drag look.
