"Who's ready for cake?" "I'm on a diet, Mama! My dirtypillows now take a G-cup! Besides, apple cake gives me pimples!"

awwww.... That's all I need to feel content. A Westie ready for the festivities and a kitty cat wanting her share of the action. Thank you, Nettie!

Thanks, Toasty! I always thought that Leslie Nielsen was not only an attractive, distinguished and charming older man... but he was ho ho ho ho HOT! Did you ever see "Day of the Animals"? There's a scene near the end where a crazed-with-machismo Leslie Nielsen attempts to kill a grizzly bear with his own two bare hands. It was kind of erotic in a very bizarre way.

dirtypillows Wishing you all the best! how are you celebrating? Many happy returns of the day! Thanks, enigma72! That was very sweet of you to think of me. I had a very full day of appointments and errands today, so while I didn't really celebrate as such, I did buy a book online. "A Low Life in High Heels", by Holly Woodlawn, the last of the Warhol superstars and a true inspiration for me. I bought the book when it first came out, but somewhere along the way it got lost. So, replacing one of my most very treasured books today was how I made myself feel happy! ♥️♥️♥️

This short one with Holly Woodlawn is rather trashy:
In this one she's more glam:

I never got to see that. I liked Grizzly - 76', from the same director. Is it better?

Thanks you for the HB salutation as well as the two Holly Woodlawn clips. I've seen the first one a couple times. It is a hoot! I love the bit where Holly opens the drawer and pulls out the Budweiser and takes a big swig, burps and then says "I was a BUM!" HA!!! I definitely prefer the early, trashy Holly. Are you a fan of Holly, Gameboy?

It was more of a "nature-in-revolt" type of movie, whereas "Grizzly" was more like a cheesy "Jaws" ripoff. The first victim in DOTA was played by Susan Backlinie!!!

Are you a fan of Holly, Gameboy? Ewww. Budweiser. Drink a better beer for crying out loud. She might as well drink Steel Reserve. But then again, it has a certain proletariat chic to it like hiding Thunderbird in your trench coat.
Of course I like Holly. I just haven't thought about her in years. I didn't know Warhol coined the term "Beautiful People".
But anyway, that's my birthday present.

I've seen it for sale online before, but always at crazy high prices. So, yeah, I was very happy to come across it at a pretty good deal! 😍
