How can anyone, not love the moment when... ...The meteor destroyed Hurley's "Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack"? Rip Tricia Tanaka (I’d add spoiler tags but I’m pretty sure the episode is titled something similar)

Absolutely. Feel free to post your viewings in here, I could use some throwback LOST discussion. LOST truly is one of the finest network tv shows ever. Stuck on ABC, unlike the freedom of an HBO or Netflix.

Absolutely. Feel free to post your viewings in here, I could use some throwback LOST discussion. LOST truly is one of the finest network tv shows ever. Stuck on ABC, unlike the freedom of an HBO or Netflix. Because of this discussion... I've pulled out my DVDs, and I'm doing a quick re-watch... Skipping over most of the flashbacks, because there not all that exciting... But I think one of my favorite moments of the whole show, was when: Hurley gives his heartfelt speech about, Charlie's 'Deathbed' Warning (using his final moments of life to warn them), and that he chooses to listen to "His Best Friend" and not what Jack wanted them to do... A very powerful moment between these two friends who respect each other very much... and even Jack knew that nothing he could say after that, was going to change Hurley's mind... It left Jack speechless... They gave each other one final look of respect to each other, before they went their separate ways on the Island... ( Brings a tear to my eye, every time I see it.) How many times in any TV show, can you think of, that had such a powerful moment... I can't think of too many...

Further Instructions episode - Hurley seeing Desmond as some paranormal chosen one, framed against the sunsetting beach, is great on re-watches.

Does anyone know...
Where does Richard Alpert's/John Locke's COMPASS come from... that they keep giving to each other in Season 5?

Yes it definitely is worth watching. I'm trying to get my friend to watch it, but her and her boyfriend keep falling asleep on the first episode/pilot. I told her it gets much better once they start getting into the characters.
Season 6/Final Season wasn't as good for me as all the previous, but it's still good. I didn't care for the ending at first, but have now grown to appreciate it over the years. Looking back, it was probably the only logical way they could have ended the series without it being an obvious conclusion to the end of Season 5 (don't want to give anything away).

Yes, but only if you put aside the hype. Nothing can live up to that level of hype. Especially this show, which was known for leaving some threads dangling.
