Life... and water. Two things that so far haven't been found anywhere else in the Solar System or space. Life? No. Water? Plenty of it in Mars' poles, occasionally liquid. There is evidence of large amounts of underground water on Jupiters moon Europa and Saturns moon Enceladus . I did say "so far" in terms of life. We haven't found life on another planet yet, be it intelligent, primitive or single-cell. That may be so, but is it growing plants and supporting living creatures there like it is on Earth? Has anyone ever drunk any of this non-Earth water? I view water as the most important thing on Earth as it sustains the planet's ecosystem and is a renewable resource which can change form and affect the weather/climate in the process. Take it all away, and the Earth will die; it's that simple.

I didn't have an answer until recently. Now I do. DNA based life. If there is life somewhere else it probably is from a different molecule. It could be a left handed molecule and it could be different in very many other ways too like the number of base pairs.
