Poignant. There is no justification to hold children behind bars. It shows the fascist reality of the treatment of undocumented workers and their families.
But it has no relevance to a defense of fascist policies to deport those same children.

What is your solution? The way I see it, these are the only alternatives: a) Send them back across the border right away b) Keep the illegal immigrant families together in camps c) Keep the adults in camps and send the children to foster families d) Let the families into the country A is illegal. If they say the word “asylum” they cannot be expelled before their case is heard If it is C, then everyone complaining about “kids in cages” will then be complaining about “separating families”. If it is D, what do you think is going to happen? Do you think they will show up for their asylum hearing and just accept it if the decision goes against them? Or will they just disappear and just add to the numbers of illegal immigrants already in the country? Where does it end? Should everyone in Central America who wants to emigrate to the USA be taken in? So what is your preferred alternative for dealing with this problem? Is there another possibility that I haven’t thought of?

There has to be truth and honesty in a Government's decision .
1. The USA no longer has room for much more population growth or to accommodate what are generally economic refugees
2. America can't let in everyone crying asylum , but it is morally wrong to separate families , and there have been a number of deaths directly related to these separations
3. Mexico has lots of room . The USA and Mexico need to implement a humane agreement to turn back the tide of humans hoping for a better life .
4. The continuing wars in the Arab countries should teach the western world to intervene and implement action through the United Nations . The murderous Islamic State wiped out the Yazidi ethnic minority , while the West and the UN just stood by . The Kurds , who should have their own nation , continue to be seriously persecuted by the Turks , Iraqis , Syrians and Iranians . There are many more conflicts elsewhere that need inter- vention too .

Should everyone in Central America who wants to emigrate to the USA be taken in? So what is your preferred alternative for dealing with this problem? Is there another possibility that I haven’t thought of? First, the comparison to children in Nazi concentration camps is striking. Obviously, the U.S. is not subjecting these children to the same torture as the Nazis. But it does highlight the callous disregard for human rights to which undocumented workers are subjected. Would not the humane American response be to house these children in some way which acknowledges their innocence in this whole affair? The cages are unacceptable.
Second, I've worked all my life in manufacturing management. I know for a fact that these undocumented workers are needed to keep American industry and agriculture afloat. These immigrants are an asset to American society. I know that I and millions of Americans would be out of work if Trump's Wall was actually effective and we did not have access to their affordable labor. I guarantee you, Americans will not work in textile factories or pick lettuce at affordable wages. So to ban these workers, you will see the failure of entire segments of manufacturing. And hiring Americans to work in agriculture will drive the prices of produce to levels which most Americans cannot pay.
But most these people are not seeking political asylum. They are merely a foreign labor supply meeting an American demand. So there is no asylum. There must be a system to document these workers as quickly as possible and put them on the road to citizenship. This is no different than the mass immigration from Europe we saw in the early 20 century and before. The only difference is a racist perception that these workers are somehow a threat. Trump alluded to rapists and murderers coming across the border. I know these people. Anti-immigrant fearmongering is the problem, not the solution.
We need a realistic immigration policy which assimilates the number of workers we need. When an orderly process is established, there will be no need for these people to cross the border in the desert at night.
