You think anyone who works in Hollywood today has any creative freedom?
They have no choice. They either do what the studios are willing to finance or nothing. I think these directors must be really shit because they agree to such horrible working conditions.
Or they are in agreement with studio thinking (god help anyone who is).
I didnt like Face Off. The premise was too stupid. Someone getting a face transplant--if they can do that, they could do makeup or plastic surgery easier. It's too far-fetched. They could have fine-tuned the plot to explain how Cage had his face changed after Travolta instead of the stupid scene with him laughing with his face ripped off.
If you were Travolta would you really want your face cut off and replaced and leave your old face under danger of being taken? Plus the underlying muscles of the face contribute to the likeness--so they could have been more Darkman-like with it.
Fake skin or something. I did like Travolta's impression of Cage though.

John Travolta and Nicolas Cage were what made the original film what it was And John Woo's style.

Another day, another unnecessary sequel/remake/reboot/whatever. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Nicholas Cage will return what an absolute disappointment. This is what happens when you give a fantard $200 million to play with. Which part of Cage no longer looking like a super terrorist anymore and more like a janitor is that moron not getting?
