Joss really f***ed this movie up worse than any of us realized. I know I'm supposed to be focusing on the CGI, but what I'm really seeing is the Man of Tomorrow presented in one image as kind, friendly, jovial, warm, and smiling, and in the other image...a demonic psychopath. Perhaps if Snyder hasn't spent two movies assassinating the character of Superman, the whole mustache situation could have been avoided.

On your second point, ironically, I believe videos like that actually do exist, but I’m not sure about the length of the footage in question. He does at least smile every now and then in MoS.
