Hilarious memes, bruh! I mean, it removes the context of the criticism - that Snyder Superman being violent and angry is the norm and not the exception - but it's so witty and clever when people do cheap gotcha tricks that I gotta concede! Say, if I were to do a reverse and make a "This IS Superman" video using footage from the Snyder movies of him smiling and doing generally Superman-y things, how long do you think I can get it? 18 seconds? Maybe 19? Funny how now people want to make jokes, as if people haven't been complaining about psycho Superman for the last 8 years. As if we're the crazy ones for pointing it out now. No, you don't get to rewrite history and make jokes and pretend you always loved it. What annoys me about thisguy especially is that he always defends MoS on the grounds that it ends with a smiling Clark Kent and the promise of a more traditional Superman. Now he's posting memes scolding me people for criticizing the Snyder Cut - the character's third outing - for still not living up to that promise.

I’ve told you before that I’m not even a fan of Zack Snyder’s movies. I was pretty disappointed by BvS, and I haven’t even seen two of his movies, nor do I have any particular interest in doing so. Again, I was simply posting a meme I came across, without giving my opinion on the matter. I certainly wasn’t “scolding” anyone.

I wouldn't post a video I didn't agree with, especially in the middle of a two-sided "debate", but that's just me. It's easy to say "I wasn't giving my opinion" whilst still not giving your opinion. If your opinion differs from the message of that video, go ahead and elaborate any time now.

On one hand, I do think people exaggerate how “evil” and “sociopathic” Superman is in the Snyder movies, but on the other hand, I don’t disagree with the complaint that Superman is too mopey in BvS. That’s one of the reasons I was disappointed with it. MoS ended on an upbeat note that seemed to leave the door open for a brighter depiction of Superman in the next movie, but then BvS seemed to do a 180 and made him broodier than ever.

This is going to be so different than “Justice League” (2017)
They only used 1 hour and 15 minutes of Zacks footage. 45 minutes of Joss Wheedons reshoots.
This is 4 hours of Snyder. That’s nearly 3 extra hours. Cut out 45 minutes of mustache reshoots.

I hope it’s released near me. I’ll see it in theaters.

I'd have to question the empathy levels of anyone who decided to make out on top of Ground Zero two minutes after the towers fell. But while a lot of the damage was already done in MoS, BvS probably could have reversed it with a more traditional Superman and no one would be criticizing this image. On that note, I do find it interesting how Snyder and his fanbase are using said image to prop up his Superman. They spend a lot of their time defending what you called "mopey" and "broody", always saying "We'll get that sunny Superman next time!". Yet here they are cumming over the exact opposite of that. I'd probably respect them more if they just came out and said they hate Superman, they hate what he stands for, they think he's a libtard pussy and they wished Superman were Charles Bronson with Krypton powers. No "this is just character development setting up that traditional Superman for later". No "Superman did X in this issue/episode/cut of a movie so it's fine for Snyder's to do it literally all of the time". Just brutal honesty akin to Frank Miller (Snyder's biggest inspiration after Ayn Rand).

They can't do a traditional Superman. Toxic masculinity. Even though he's an alien that isn't good enough anymore. It used to be, but the walls close in more and more.

Well. It sure seems Snydery.
What I really find interesting is how bad the CGI looks. I hate CGI ipso facto, so there’s that, but these backgrounds, special effects, and cartoon people look as weightless and phony as the theatrical version’s. From what I remember, Watchmen, Man of Steel, and BvS (my qualms with all three movies to one side) all look better.

Just as long as it either looks good or even if the design looks cool, sometimes I'll give it a pass. But I keep finding Darkseid to be a letdown every time they show him onscreen. And this is his live action debut! If they wanted to one-up Marvel, get a tall actor and put him in costume and makeup.

How can anyone or anything one up Thanos when the idea of a man in make up who just happens to be tall that is meant to be intimadating is stupid as hell.

I actually don't hate the CGI in either Justice League versions, but while I fail to take Zack Snyder seriously as a director what I also take less seriously than even him are people who aren't natural fans of CGI saying they don't like the CGI in a movie when that's just their natural state anyway which brings me to the question of why you watch these types of movies in the first place.
