www.desertsun.com/story/life/food/2021/02/12/fresh-pick-week-blood-oranges/4432332001/Blood oranges originated in the southern Mediterranean region, most notably in Sicily. Their unique flavor has a strong berry-like quality in addition to the traditional βorangeβ flavor. They have a limited season, and are part of the winter citrus family. Did You Know: The three most common types of blood oranges are the Tarocco, the Sanguinello and the Moro. The Moro has the most color, the Tarocco is considered the sweetest and most flavorful, and the Sanguinello matures the latest β well into April. It also has the least amount of seeds and a sweet, tender flesh.

It was only relatively recently (last year or the one before) that I've seen blood oranges for sale here in Montreal. They are not always available, and only at some stores. I've bought them a few times and I quite like them.
I have no idea which of the three types they were, though.

We had a blood orange tree, nuts.
It was great. It died when we had a hard frost one year
I'm not sure what variety it was

I bought a small sack of blood oranges a few weeks ago. did you make juice? No, we just ended up eating them. Also got a bag of clementines. They haven't been very good this year. Smaller than usual and not much taste. :-(
