"Stop messing about," they tell him as he approaches the penalty-spot, and he is sent back to his own area. Instead, Rodri just about converts it past Lloris on '23 for one-nothing City. Earlier it was almost the other way around as Kane's free-kick assaulted the woodwork.

Yeah I was hoping he'd go up. Definately worth putting a quid on him in some of the easy games coming up, late pen and he'll get to take it.

Mourinho goes off to cool down in the break. Denied a free-kick he threw an item onto the pitch which was removed by an official. I think he was upset that Lemala had been molested by Jesus with no penal intervention by the ref. I think he wasn't impressed with the penalty decision and it did look about 50/50 to my eyes. But when his tantrum has dissolved, what can he instruct his players for the second portion? They're holding up alright, but lack creativity and space-making. Can they show us something better?

Game over surely. Gundogan receives it from a Sterling-Foden-Jesus triple-whammy-combo and Lloris can only reach out a weak arm to attempt the save in a less than satisfactory way. It's two-nothing early into the 2nd half.

Ederson may not get on the score-sheet but he gets an assist with a glorious long heat-seeker that fell perfectly for Gundogan who went on to finish with aplomb for 3-0. Marvelous stuff on '66. One of the passes of the season, surely - by the keeper.

City go 7 points clear of Leicester. Let's hope Everton and Arsenal can do us all a favour in City's next two outings - both away.
Tottenham will go 9th if Villa turn over Brighton shortly.
Rumours that De Bruyne and Aguero are sh*tting it over getting back in the team are not true - sort of.

Leagues won and very important CL game a few days later y'know.
