Entertaining family movie; one of the few "talking-animal" movies that's actually pretty good. Buddy Hackett delivers one needless profanity, but otherwise, it's safe for kids who can take a little disturbing drama.

Oh my God, I loved that movie, I drove my family crazy every time we rented movies I'd say 'Get Paulie! Get Paulie!'
My brother always laughed at that one guy's line about 'there are rats the size of footballs running around here'.
It was the first time I ever heard 'What's New, Pussycat?'.
I was always confused by the 'then one day, the cat got her' scene when the old lady dies, because I figured that had to mean she got torn up and was all bloody, I didn't equate it with she was just old and died in her sleep, because until we actually got a cat I'd never seen them just break a bird's neck, I thought they clawed them to pieces.
