I don’t necessarily mean who’s made your favorite movies in the MCU. I mean, which director do you think has the most distinct style and voice when it comes to the MCU? For me, I’d probably go with James Gunn.

Either the Russo Brothers or Ryan Coogler. James Gunn is also a good pick, OP.

Jon Favreau, used practical effects for first Iron Man, now it all looks like a video game 👎

Waititi and Gunn bring a lot of personality to their movies. I like that and it certainly makes them stand out against the blander directors like Peyton Reed and Jon Watts.

I probably should choose Watiti because his style is certainly the most interesting and distinctive of the MCU directors, but I think the director who got the most out of the material he was given was actually Favreau. Every frame of Iron Man gives the impression that he really loved the character and world and was working feverishly to make the best possible movie out of it.
I haven’t yet seen the Guardians movies.
The worst of the directors is probably Whedon, whose “style” involves flat lighting and a shallow frame—the worst of television directing.

Taika Waititi
Thor Ragnarok never really should've worked & it kicked ass. Waititi recalibrated the style & fun quotient for the MCU's foreseeable future, esp. considering how much cosmic stuff should be en route.

This is tricky to answer. The Russo's are usually the most balanced and have proven the most consistent as far as quality goes. The problem I have with them is I don't believe they're the most respectful of the characters they handle. They implement far too many personality and power inconsistencies with the characters.
Joss Whedon showed the most respect for the characters and was the most consistent as far as personality and power levels go, but he was a bit inconsistent with quality especially when he had to handle a bigger cast. I also didn't particularly care for his fight scenes.
Taika Waititi is pretty good except that I feel he goes overboard with the humor a bit. If he could reign that humor in a bit I'd pick him.
In the end, I think I'll pick Favreau. As long as I can forgive him his faults with IM2 I do think he has the best balance of quality and love for characters.
