Not bad. Got about 18 minutes in.
Depressing that that's how pizza took off in this country.

Cute little story about Pizza Hut but millions of Italians would tell you that pizza was invented in Naples in the late 19th century which I find a more credible explanation. The story I have heard for years is that the pizza we have in America was first introduced in New York City in 1905 and was a close approximation of the Neapolitan version.

I just saw this, Enigma. Yes, I do want to see the episodes! Thanks. My landlord is having our building painted, and I've been a little distracted by the preparation for the erection of scaffolding, securing windows for "power washing," etc.. By Wednesday, when they actually start to paint, I can go back to "hermitizing."

I do I predict that the original recipe for Coca Cola will be available again someday. It will probably be sold as Coca Cola Classic.

I meant to imply that cocaine will be legalized someday and that some people will want the original COCA-cola. Might not happen during my lifetime.

Thanks, enjoyable watch. Food and history are so relatable. I like how we 'Americanize' things. Every time someone sneers and says 'that's not REAL Italian, Chinese Mexican etc' I shrug. You can or don't have to eat anything. Telling me my cheese is not 'real' cheese? F*ck off and find miserable people like yourself.

Recently caught the KFC/Wendy's eps. I always forget Dave Thomas began with KFC until he'd had enough of them. It was the future face of Wendy's who came up with the KFC bucket & iconic spinning bucket signage.
Wendy's double burger was the largest portioned hamburger of mainstream fast food, & not many were interested because size & price. So, Wendy's introduced their triple burger... so as to make the double seem smaller, more standardized sizing. Next time you wonder why the hell Wendy's still has a triple burger- it's not to kill us faster, it's to let us feel better about choosing their double. I love trivia like that. Crystal Pepsi died in part because Coke hated it, & instead of competing, they put Tab Clear beside it on shelves... Tab itself was dying, so Coca-Cola used it to kamikaze the whole clear cola craze.
