Hard to say, if a movie is terrible I'm not gonna be interested in watching the sequels. In terms of influence, I'm not to keen on Avengers/Marvel Universe, seems like every blockbuster has to be a super hero film.

I think we might have a winner. I was trying to think of franchises with no entries that are even remotely good and Twilight fits the bill. I have only seen one of the Madea movies, so I can't comment on the overall franchise.
