That's not a picture I shared. That's Carl's doing ๐ This is pancakes... Okay - - those seem a little limp.ย Could make a good breakfast burrito out of them, though. They are pancakes. You will have them with sugar and lemon juice. And be thankful for it ๐คจ

IT'S HERE! Happy Pancake Day/Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras one and all. Feast on the fatty sugary things in your cupboards today, for tomorrow we fast, and put on the ashes of repentance.

Don't wish to encourage single use plastic containers... But the old Jif lemon squeezy is as much a part of Shrove Tuesday as the pancake itself.

Just buy a real lemon rather than use Jif.

Gonnae get yer ashes? Of course, you'll have to make your own. Any palm leaves left over from Palm Sunday last year? Gonna be weird on Wednesday this year. We normally have Mass in the parish school hall in the afternoon and get our ashes with the schoolkids. I don't have any of last years Palm Sunday leaves here. I have asked if Fr can bless some ashes and leave them outside church door, so we could go along and self annoint, but I don't think that will happen. It's supposed to be done by a priest during Mass anyway. I'll probably watch Ash Wednesday Mass online with Fr Pat in County Donegal. Still a fast day on Wednesday. Great minds: Coronavirus: Priest providing 'takeaway ashes' for Ash Wednesday www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-56074495

Just leave em in a box outside the church door for people to collect.
