Now that is chickenshit. No picked picked up a phone or spoke to her. She found out the same way we did.... "So instead of telling Carano that she had been fired, Disney and Lucasfilm, which includes Kathleen Kennedy and Jon Favreau, released a statement to their shill media sites that said the following, and then Carano heard about it on social media" cosmicbook.news/gina-carano-social-media-fired

Also no clue if they did or didn't fire her this way, people lie, companies lie, who knows who is telling the truth, neither side will likely admit anything that doesn't portray them in a good light, but I dunno if I was Carano and it's as she said she has not had contact from Disney since the whole beep/bop/boop incident, that was like 4 months ago, if my employers didn't contact me for 4 months especially when they need to be working on the current show I am on as well as the spin off show I am supposed to be getting, well then I would assume I may not have a job for much longer and wouldn't be surprised by this. But yeah if Disney fired her publicly before firing her privately thats bullshit, I mean for shit sake just DM her and say "hey Gina it's [blank ] sorry got some bad news, you are sacked, anyway enjoy the rest of your day." then close the account so she can't DM you back, then post it to social media.

Care to provide a source that says her contract was up? Even if that were the case, it's a chickenshit way to let someone know you're not renewing the contract.

Before the season shoots they determine how many episodes you appear in , series regular usually get paid for at least half episodes regardless if they appear or not. If she did not already sign her deal for season 3 she was not fired.

So, again, what's you're source that says her contract was for only two seasons and she had to sign a new one before the next season? If you have no source to cite, you're simply guessing. At the end of the day, it hardly matters. It was a chickenshit move either way.

It was a decision by the company. I'm pretty sure the writers (Filoni and Favreau) had plans for her. Either way, a professional would let her know personally, not via social media. No matter how you try to spin it, it was a chickenshit move.

I don’t like that she was fired for what she tweeted but as far as the character is concerned, she’s expendable. She was ok but she isn’t a permanent companion of The Mandalorian. So who cares? He’s a loner. He’ll interact with others and life goes on.

He’s a loner. He’ll interact with others and life goes on. It's clear her character was being built up for more involvement. So now the writers will have to redirect the story to accommodate the loss of the character. It's stupid when you consider the fact that her online stuff was not affecting the bottom line for the show in any negative way....

Its how the industry works, many actors and crew find out their show has been canceled by news/social media , before even notified by an email or anything.
