You can have all the snow AFAIC. I'm snowed in with a foot of it.

My weather radio just told me we're going to have wind chills as low as 290 degrees below zero. At this point, I'd almost believe it. LOL.

Dear Pen Pal,
Thanks for letting us know about the weather. It got out a few days and we didn't know where it went to. I'd be more than happy to come down and get it. Maybe we could work out a trade. If I could get a couple dozen Tamales I'd be there in 25 hours. Haven't had a good Tamale in many many years.
Your friends from the north.

Ely, MN had temps of 50 below zero a few days ago. That's not wind chill. Actual temp. 50 below.

People losing their minds in the south over what to us in the north is just a normal winter.
Talking about winter reminds me of the time, when the temp outside was like 2 degrees, and I decided to open the window for a minute to let in some air because I tend to feel hot when I'm falling asleep (is that weird?), but I was so tired that I fell asleep without closing the window. I woke up some time later in a freezing cold room. Tried shutting the window, but it wouldn't close because the metal frame was too cold and had contacted. I finally managed to shut the window by lying in my back and using my legs to push the window closed. Then I jumped in the shower and turned the hot water on.
There was also another time when I was being an idiot and walked out in the snow in bare feet while there was a power outage. It was only once back in the house that I realized that I wouldn't be able to use the heater to get my feet warm. I then got the idea of washing a rag in hot water and wrapping it around my feet, but there was no hot water because...wait for it...the power was out. I ended up just covering my feet in a bunch of blankets. In my defense, I was pretty young (maybe like 13) when the second incident happened.

Yeah living it here in the Houston area. Power failures, pump stations going out, grocery stores and fast food places having lines for half a mile, basically total insanity. We’ve been without power for 4 days and low water pressure and a boil water mandate for 72 hours. Luckily I have a generator so I can run a space heater and the tv and the fridge.
