‘Paddington 2’ Sets Rotten Tomatoes Record As Best-Reviewed Movie Ever

Blowing the lid off the critical marmalade jar, Paddington 2 has set a new benchmark as the best-reviewed film ever on Rotten Tomatoes, Paddington 2 has a 100% Fresh score.
Director Paul King tells me of the RT news, “It’s incredibly gratifying." The film was finished, King says, “on a Wednesday at 1100 and we screened it at about 200 that afternoon” for critics. “It’s a strange experience and you can’t help but hope for the best for this little character and the film you’ve created. It’s very lovely they were warm and enthusiastic.”
He notes that “younger kids are probably not reading film reviews or on Twitter” and adds, “Hopefully the parents are reading reviews to children. I dream of households across America going, ‘Hey, son, listen to this metric. This is arguably the most appreciated film in history.'”

Paddington 2 is the sweetest up lifting film I've ever seen and put the biggest smile on my face when I first saw it. I know people all have different tastes but imo if you didn't enjoy Paddington 2 you are probably some cynical miserable douche and I don't want to associate with people like that ever haha.
But seriously, Paddington 2 is one of my favorite sequels ever made and I'm so happy we're getting a Paddington trilogy. Can't wait for this.

Minor update:
Simon Farnaby revealed that he and the writer/director of the previous films, Paul King, had the idea for Paddington 3's story.
"Paul and I did tentatively write a story for Paddington 3, so we are involved. And I think Paul is involved at an executive level. We did have an idea for it ... They've got great writers and I think they've got a great director, so I think it will be brilliant, but we're slightly to one side for now."

 Never even heard of the director before. Had to google him and he's just directed a handful of tv commercials and music videos. I hope he does a good job. Paddington 2 is the best reviewed movie ever made (even higher than The Godfather & Citizen Kane)...no pressure Dougal Wilson! lol
