Coraline.
I thought it was a better story and a better execution. Coraline is actually nightmarish whereas TNBC is surprisingly friendly and upbeat.
Overall, they're both good, though.

Well the whole point of Jack Skellington was that he's a friendly and upbeat character despite being horror-oriented.

My choice is The Nightmare Before Christmas, which I saw in a theatre and own the dvd. Always play it around Halloween.
I actually found Coraline on Youtube. Fascinating, but I'm not even sure I know what the hell I saw. I don't think I'm going to change my mind, but I'm going back for a second look.
