this did with Blade Runner?
I had thought it was created just for the movie, but it was not. It sets the tone extremely well.

I like how the music fits with it. I love how the infamous Esper Edition includes it on the bootleg soundtrack, those 2 hours of music, sound effects just all adds up to one of the finest and most atmospheric movie scores, ever made. Shame that it would never see the day through a official CD version, but thankfully it is not that hard to find the entire soundtrack, from time to time.

Speaking of studio/film company logos, and where you just damn knew early on, when seeing those flashy/cool/awesome logo, that you were in for a treat, within the next 90-100 minutes or more:

As a kid seeing the Orion logo (and music) made me even more excited to see the movie than I already was. Cannon too but there was just something about that Orion screen and music.

I've always loved this logo opening for Avco Embassy Films. What were some of the movies that they used that on? I know I've seen it but I can't really remember.

This is a good one, WB even made the Saul Bass designed logo in B&W to fit with the typewritten page. It makes the typing even more dramatic along with the silent opening. The bluray has the modern WB logo before the intro and it diminishes the beginning credits.

I've always loved this logo opening for Avco Embassy Films. What were some of the movies that they used that on? I know I've seen it but I can't really remember. Avco released a great deal horror movies in the 1980s such as The Howling, Dead & Buried, Death Ship, Fear No Evil, The Fog, among others. Some of their non-horror stuff from the 70s and 80s include Soldier Blue, Murder By Decree, Time Bandits, and The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia. Eventually with new ownership, Avco Embassy was renamed as simply Embassy Pictures before going out of business.
