Rumor has it we're going for Florida's TE folks This guy is apparently a Tony Gonzalez / Ozzie Newsome / Gronk hybrid I heard that Hurts would like one of his Alabama boys. Considering that they wouldn't be considered reaches at 6, an owner who has stressed building around Hurts may be willing to do that.

I'm so incredibly jaded with our failures over the years selecting a WR high - Nelson Agholor, JJ Arcega-Whiteside over Metcalf, taking Reagor over Jefferson
But I am intrigued by pairing Hurts with DeVonta Smith.....
Not the 'sexy' choice but I'm an O-Line Guy. Our O-Line is getting old and rumor has it we're shopping Brooks to save some dough
We need to protect Jalen
I can see Smith being on the board though and our owner Jeffrey Lurie steps in a takes WR Bob McPhoo from East Moorehead State

Peter King has reported the Eagles intentionally leaked support of Jalen Hurts -
And are secretly interested in trading up to nab my #1 pick in the Draft -
Zach Wilson

The draft has blown up.
Idk why but I LOVE this time of the offseason. I get into team building and get pissed off when other people try and say you're dumb and tell you how to fan. (I care about team building so what?)
There is one guy I listen to constantly for Packers content that says "I won't tell you how to fan."
That said, it is the definition of "I dont want to offend you, but..."
He is a good guy but at the same time he will say things like: "I won't tell you how to fan..." "but let me insert how you should fan."
I fucking hate it. The lowest of low imo is the guy that thinks fandome is a competition.

Jeremiah's new top fifty: www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-s-top-50-2021-nfl-draft-prospect-rankings-3-0Two of my favorite players are plummeting (Farley and Darrisaw) and two of my favorite players are screaming up the board (Jamin Davis and Elijah Moore). Pretty sure the Steelers are going to take one of those top three running backs, but I have no idea which one they'd choose if they were all on the board. Pundits keep claiming that they are going to take an offensive lineman in the first, but I'm not getting that sense.

I agree, the Steelers will take a RB - they really need a more balanced offense as they can’t have Big Ben throwing 50+ times a game. They had very little rushing attack last season, and they need to improve.

Going to do a final mock draft before the actual draft. What would you guys be most interested in seeing? A 1 round, 2 round, or 3 round mock?

If Atlanta takes a QB at #4 it that it? Well, someone will take Mac Jones. But is five in the first the limit? Is Kyle Trask a 1st round talent? He will probably go, to New England? Will someone get really silly and take Kellen Monds or Davis Mills late 1st?
What will Cincy do at #5? No need for a QB will someone move up for Mac Jones? If not, do they take a WR or OL. Personally, I'd think them dumb if they passed on Penai Sewell of Oregon. Don't fix the OL and they could break Joe Burrow for good. And WR can be got later. Look at the 2017 Draft for example. Three taken in the 1st, John Ross, Corey Davis, Mike Williams. Yawn. In the later rounds, JuJu, Cooper Kupp, Chris Godwin, Kenny Golladay. Gobs of other examples, Stefon Diggs (5th), Michael Thomas (2nd), Antonio Brown (6th). Sure the Larry Fitzgerald's and Julio Jones' are out there early in the 1st, but a top flight OL is more of a sure thing (the odd Tony Mandarich and Robert Gallery aside) than a lottery pick WR and they are less obtainable in the later rounds.

I’m pretty sure the Falcons trade down with another team that needs a QB. I will be furious if the Falcons take a QB at #4, Matty Ice still has plenty left in the tank and I want to see what he can do in Arthur Smith’s new offense, and the Falcons have weaknesses on defense that need to be addressed. Besides I don’t trust any of the QB’s besides Lawrence and Wilson. I’m hoping the Falcons select Patrick Surtain, CB from Alabama, with their first round pick, the Falcons corners suck.
I’m curious as to who the Niners will take at #3, my guess is Trey Lance. I definitely think the Bengals will take Penei Sewell with the #5 pick, they will definitely want to improve their O-Line. There will be some good receivers that will go after that, the Fins and Lions will definitely take receivers.

I'm always interested in more, but a two rounder at least. I think those have the most value. What happens to a team like the Bengals if they have two major perceived needs, offensive line and receiver? If they take Chase, what o-lineman can they get in the 2nd? If they take Sewell, what receiver can they get in the second? I find those to be interesting exercises.

I’m pretty sure the Falcons trade down with another team that needs a QB. Matt Miller or Daniel Jeremiah I dont remember which stated on their podcast this week that they are hearing teams are contacting the Falcons about trading up for Kyle Pitts. I think teams might want to get ahead of Cincy for him. Momentum is growing that he is the 2nd best player overall in this class behind Lawrence.

Apparently Burrow is really petitioning for a reunion with Ja'Marr Chase. I could see them doing that and addressing OL in the 2nd and possibly again in the third. Both classes are pretty deep so they'll likely come out of it with good to great talent. A guy like Jaylen Mayfield or Liam Eichenberg could be on the board early round 2.

That would be interesting - the Bengals would have a lot of talent at receiver if they went with Pitts or Chase, but they already have some good receivers while their O-Line needs some help, so I’m sticking with my prediction that they take Sewell.

If their grades are fairly equal on Chase and Sewell, why not let Burrow decide? Bengals are in a pretty good spot as both tackle and receiver are fairly stacked positions in this draft.

I currently think I have R1 done but my mind could easily change on those picks upon the more I learn. I listen to SO much draft content that guys come up that I haven't even heard of.

I currently think I have R1 done but my mind could easily change on those picks upon the more I learn. I listen to SO much draft content that guys come up that I haven't even heard of. For the Steelers, I've made a draft sheet for the last twelve years: sixteen players that the team could take in each of the first five rounds and then sixteen for the sixth and seventh rounds combined. I make them somewhat reasonable/somewhat aspirational but without guys who will be clearly gone in the first round when they pick (no Kyle Pitts this year, for example). So all told, there are 96 guys on my "board". I follow four different Steelers insiders sites plus another five or six non-denominational ones. I casually follow college players during the season and as soon as the Steelers are out of the running, I'm into full draft mode. I nerd out on it hard. And yet, despite having access to all of these really smart people on the subject, and following it religiously for three months, I had Cesar Ruiz as a third round target last year - - he went in the first. I had Prince Tega Wanogho as a second round target last year - - he went in the sixth. I get your point completely. I've seen people now say that Davis Mills could be a back end first round pick - - he was never above the third round a month ago. Guys like Jamin Davis and Creed Humphrey are now in first round mocks whereas guys like Alex Leatherwood and Wyatt Davis used to be in the first but almost never are anymore. I make my Steelers draft sheet the week of the draft just so I can get as much intel as possible (it was easier before the last two years because reporters would know who made visits to the facilities), but still every year there are some really embarrassing misses.
