Chiefs traded 31 and more to Ravens for Orlando Brown. The Ravens acquire three picks in next week's draft -- a first-rounder (No. 31 overall), a third-rounder (No. 94) and a fourth-rounder (No. 136) -- as well as a fifth-round selection in 2022. The Chiefs get a starting left tackle in Brown along with Baltimore's second-round pick in 2021 (No. 58 overall) and a sixth-rounder in 2022. Weird. I know the Chiefs are playing for the now as long as Mahomes can walk, but the Ravens feeding that machine? Not sure, did the Colts ever trade with the Patriots? lols Generally that means they know something about Brown.

He wasn't going to get that in Baltimore when they just paid Ronnie Stanley.

Six days away! Finally. I am so sick and tired of the constant speculation and mock drafts over the last 2 months at least. This year it has been VERY prevalent. Not sure if that says something about regular season NBA or about the NFL's even increasing clout. You can't find somebody who loves the NFL more than me, and even I'm sick of hearing about the quarterbacks and where they could go in this draft. With that being said, anyone who thought concussions were going to kill the NFL and football as a whole couldn't have been more wrong.

Six days away! I've got quite the dinner spread planned for draft night. I treat that night like Thanksgiving. Tacos, chili, nachos, wings, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, cinnamon rolls. Ill be in a food coma by the time the Packers pick. Nice! Back in the days when it was three rounds on Saturday and four rounds on Sunday, that was more my style. Now I don't think I eat at all on Thursday and Friday night: it would get in the way of my print outs and laptop (and my beers).

The Athletic had an "Ultimate Draft Bust" article, worst pick by round. Five of the first six are QB's 1st - jaMarcus Russell 2nd - Ryan Leaf 3rd - Akili Smith 4th - Art Schlichter 5th - Justin Blackmon - WR 6th - Rich Campbell other QB's 10th - Josh Rosen 16th - Dan McGwire 22nd - Johnny Football 24th - Todd Marinovich A lot of the others I've forgotten. Wendell Bryant/DT/2002 from Wisconsin, picked by the Cardinals. Who? To be honest, I forgot about Rich Campbell and Dan McGwire (did he just get picked because of his big brother?). Some had issues, Reggie Rogers (killed three kids in a DUI crash), Rae Carruth, Gabe Rivera. I guess they aren't worried with the karma of Senor Sack since he was drinking and driving, but calling somebody who was paralyzed in a car accident his rookie season "a bust" is a dick move in my book.

Caleb Farley has become the most fascinating prospect in this years draft to me. After listening to The Athletic Football Show podcast Robert Mays (who I am a HUGE fan of) spoke with Mike Renner of PFF and Renner spoke with a doctor who stated that Farley's injury is that of which never heals. He will continue to have back surgeries throughout his career. His talent has him as PFF's #1 corner but fuck, that news has to scare you.
I have switched him in my upcoming mock more so than anybody. At some point I think a team just says fuck it, the talent is worth the risk. Question is, who is it?

To the Titans at 22 mostly, but after hearing that on the podcast, I dont think I'd be comfortable using a first on him.

I've got him in a dynasty fantasy league - - I hope he isn't shipped to Las Vegas. And if Cam will still be New England's QB, I hope he isn't going to New England either.

My goal is to get 10 picks correct out of the 106 I mocked. Mocks are rarely ever accurate past the top 5.
My mock was based on the following podcasts and people I tune into.
Matt Miller (Two Guys a Girl and a Podcast) Daniel Jeremiah (Move The Sticks) Emery Hunt (College Draft) Mel Kiper/Todd McShay (First Draft)
As well as VARIOUS people who have popped up on shows like The Athketic Football Show and or Mina Kimes show such as Mike Renner of PFF and Matt Bowen of ESPN.
If they're not in my 3 rounds than its likely I've never heard anybody talk about them.

The picks for Buffalo are fine. I can see them trading out of the first and picking up a RB in the 2nd and grabbing extra picks. Really, the team only needs depth at some positions, both sides of the line, defense secondary. A running back would be nice but there isn’t a great one out there. Harris and Etienne are good but not a knockout. And Clemson and Alabama players haven’t excelled up here. Reggie Ragland, Cyrus Koo Koo Ka Joob, Marcell Darius from Alabama, CJ Spiller, Sammy Watkins from Clemson. Ish
I actually seen a mock with the Bills taking a receiver in the 2nd. FFS why?

Buffalo imo could use some pass rush but this class is rather lacking. Given they don't need much and RB could be viewed as a need it matched up with Harris as BPA imo. So it was an easy choice for me. In the 2nd Basham has gotten some late 1st talk but I think that would be a big reach as most edge rushers will likely get over drafted due to the value of the position so I had Buffalo wait, Basham happened to still be there in the 2nd. What WR was it? Maybe the mocker was just taking advantage of the class? They still have Beasley right?

There are a lot of teams I could see trading down this year. Rumors are #4 is in play but for Pitts and not a QB. Rumor has it Miami now thinks Pitts and Chase will get taken by ATL and Cincy so they could try and get back up to 4 or 5. I just didn't know how much to take that so I had them stay put but did use those picks on said players.
Indy at 21 seems like a prime trade down but who would anyone trade up for? Indy could trade down and get more picks after losing some in the Wentz trade. One pod I listen to had GB moving up to 21 by trading 29 and both their 4th rounders for Greg Newsome. Newsome in my mock went 1 pick earlier.
Seattle HAS to trade down. They do every year but this year they have 2 draft picks. I 3xpect a lot of trade downs from them.

Also heard that a name to keep in mind as a late first trade target for a team is Davis Mills. Apparently some scouts view him as a first rounder so maybe a team trades back into the first for him and the fifth year option.
