instinctmagazine.com/post/gop-missouri-rep-theres-difference-between-gays-and-human-beingsDear friends, what do you think? Do you agree with Rick Brattin that there is a distinction between homosexuality and just being a human being? I happen to disagree with him but I'd like to hear your views on Mr. Brattin's theological ideas. GOP Missouri Rep: There's A Difference Between Gays And Human Beings
Instinct Staff | May 11, 2017
This is outrageous!
From the Kansas City Star:
Rick Brattin, a Missouri state representative from Harrisonville, seems pretty certain: Homosexuality and humanity are incompatible. “When you look at the tenets of religion, of the Bible, of the Qur’an, of other religions,” he said Monday, “there is a distinction between homosexuality and just being a human being.”
The statement, made on the Missouri House floor, was deplorable. It betrayed a stunning lack of understanding of theology and self-government: The Constitution protects all Americans from the tyranny of any single faith-based approach to secular law.
We asked Rep. Brattin to explain his statement, but he did not return a phone call to his office. It isn’t the first time state Brattin has tripped over the Constitution.
He has sought an equal footing for teaching creationism in public schools. He proposed requiring the father’s consent before an abortion except in cases of “legitimate rape.” He suggested college football players who refuse to play for political reasons should lose their scholarships.

He appears to think gay people are not human beings. He's a moron.
If his god agrees with him then his god is a moron too.

You could have let out the "GOP" part in the title and most people would have correctly assumed which party that rep belonged to.

If it looks like a human being, moves like a human being, eats like a human being, sleeps like a human being and shits like a human being.. it's probably a human being.

About the OP: Unsurprisingly, this politician cites religious reasons, and Christianity first. What were some posters on this board saying again about Christianity not being evil? Hmmm...

I am sorry but there is some issue with your phone. I checked it from Norton and it said "Norton Safe Web found no issues with this site."
Also from McAfee siteadvisor: "This link is safe. We tested it and didn't find any significant security issues."
and also no problem with my browser.

I have Android 5.0.1, and two virus scanners (Norton, Lookout).
This phenomenon with popups and vibrating adds happens rarely, so when it happens, I assume the worst.

A lot of people don't like Marvin Gaye's music, but he's still a human being. That is, until you put on one of these special sunglasses, and then a lot of people aren't human beings.

OT but girls should be getting permission from their parents for abortions. Umm, no they should not. It´s their body and their decision.

Umm, no they should not. It´s their body and their decision. They're kids If they can get pregnant they are not kids. Underage teenagers can get non-hazardous medical procedures without parental consent, so they should be able to get abortions.

Umm, no they should not. It´s their body and their decision. They're kids I suppose it depends on what age we are talking about here?! 14 is a young age, but mostly the girls who get pregnant are a lot older than that (I´d hope).
