He's probably talking about the SOE (Special Operations Executive) and the origin story is quite interesting . There's some very good introductory documentaries on that . Churchill's German Army (2009)(not so much on the SOE but about Germans who fought for the Allies , some of them helping or joining the SOE) , Secret War (2011)about the SOE , and Churchill's Secret Agents: The New Recruits (on Netflix and is very good , serious recreation on becoming an agent at the original training sites , and interviews with the real agents . Some of the most daring , courageous and ingenious spy coordinators in WWII served in this group . Most of them dying in the line of duty , with only a few extraordinarily brave members surviving most of the war in operations behind enemy lines .
Guy Ritchie is a very capable director (maybe sometimes putting style over substance), but I always thought he should be the next Bond director , so he should be perfect for this ! Best Luck to Guy and Team , and hoping to see it .

Sounds like it could be very interesting. I know there are so many WW2 films out there but the conflict still has plenty of stories to tell.
