Since we’re now getting two simultaneous Batman movie franchises, someone might as well ask this question.

Maybe in five years we'll get that Batman family shared universe.

Since we’re now getting two simultaneous Batman movie franchises, someone might as well ask this question. Ive honestly seen enough Batman at this point, and I think DC really needs to focus on more than just always coming back to this one character Even their spin-offs. Joker, Batwoman, Gotham, come on we get it already. They’ve got dozens and dozens of characters. Do anything else

I'm not feeling the Batman fatigue so far.

Nah. He’s the only superhero I actually care about and Gotham is fascinating to me.
I used to say that I had Spider-Man fatigue, but I am looking forward to the spider-verse sequel so I guess that’s not true. But I’m done with live action Spidey films.

That’s what Walter Hamada claimed.

I have NEW Batman fatigue. We don't need MORE new Batman. We need one Batman that we can see evolve and move past the "A) killed my parents, B) I become a dark avenger of the night to avenge them, C) The Joker is looming" stage.
That's why I was pleased with the Affleck version. He'd moved past that and we could just get into him kicking ass. How many times do we have to see two actors and some kid play out the Waynes dying?

Well, BvS still showed us his parents getting shot, so it didn’t entirely move past that. Still, I was pretty onboard with the idea of being introduced to a veteran Batman. Even though it was probably done largely because Snyder loves The Dark Knight Returns, I still preferred that over giving us another rookie Batman.

Yes, yet not that I'm sick of it, I just need Batman to be shelved until this MCU circus dies out a bit, & Batman saves the genre once again years from now.

I definitely have "parents shot in an alley" fatigue. Bruce's parents and uncle Ben have to be the shittest characters in all media.
I'd rather have ten Rose Tico/Jar Jar team up movies before seeing those dickheads again.

I'll never be tired of Batman. My avatar should tell you that.
Plus we haven't had a live-action standalone Batman flick since 2012. That's almost a decade ago at this stage. I'm thirsting for some more Bat action.
Having said that, I have no interest in another origin story or anything of the sort.

I think Batman should become the Nick Fury of Batman family movies.

They're cheap and lazy plot devices to get the heroes in the costumes. We all have wikipedia now so there's no need to show it again.

It's part of the trend against masculine toxicity. If you keep bringing his parents into it then it suggests he hasn't matured beyond the experience. And they don't want to do adventures because that suggests a heroic impulse which they want to avoid promoting.
The Batman of the 60s and 70s--the popular image was a kind of a Zorro Holmes. He wasn't a grim traumatized adult. And he didn't have a bunch of mentors either---Alfred, Lucius Fox, Ghul, etc..He was completely independent--making his own decisions.
