A really well-done and historical examination of how the concept of Satan evolved through text over time. This validates my thoughts on how the Bible cannot be an "inspired word of god" to be viewed as a cohesive whole. Thanks for posting, very interesting! paulslaugh may find it worth a view, too.

At the end of the video, he mentioned in passing a sect of Christianity that viewed the serpent in Genesis as the good guy. I presume he was referring to Gnosticism. I read about it many years ago, and actually found it to be quite thought provoking. I kind of forget the specifics, but as I recall, they viewed the creator god as evil, who created a flawed and defective world. The true God was reached through gnosis, a spiritual intuition achieved through the "god spark" within each of us. It's interesting, but it's also not hard to understand why they were branded as heretics.

Everyone who watches this is 18 minutes dumber than they were before. What a moron. And that's the trouble with Academian. This idiot even pawns himself, simply assuming whatever he wants to assume. Everyone knows the data he brings up. I had a book of the dead sea scrolls, and of course it was stolen (anyone who has ever had this book, who is not a member of the warlock mob, has had it stolen with a year).
He pawns himself when he brings up the "5 Cs" that he so conveniently refuses to adhere to. He doesn't even begin to give the "Origin of Satan". He merely has wishful thinking that whatever documents are published in ancient History and saved from ancient History, are his gods. You can't get more ignorant than that. But that's how Academia works, and it's why we have so many morons making the rules that feeble minds bow to. There is zero difference between the morons who bow to him and the ones who bow to Donald Trump. Absolute zero.

It's interesting, but it's also not hard to understand why they were branded as heretics. Recall that in the book of Job, Satan is in heaven with God when they decide to fuck (killing off his whole family and destroying his wealth) with the hapless Job to prove a point. So, this is not the all-evil demon or the all-good God taught by Christianity. Check out a book call The Lucifer Principal to understand the necessity of chaos in creation. I think that Christianity in general does a rather poor job of explaining why suffering exists in this world. It's usually dismissed as a consequence of the fall of Adam and Eve, or because of the Devil, and I personally was never satisfied with either of those answers. If people merely see themselves as helpless victims, then they usually fail to seek deeper lessons and personal growth from the experience. If God is benevolent and yet allows suffering to occur, then there must be some reason for it. The truth is, we learn a lot from suffering. We gain strength, depth and maturity that wouldn't have been there otherwise. You look at people who have never faced any significant struggles or hardships in life, and they tend to be very shallow and self-centered individuals. Pain can be a gift. However, the story of Job didn't seem to be done for Job's spiritual enrichment. It seemed more like two sadistic kids frying ants under a magnifying glass, just because they could. I have a lot of problems with the Bible, which is why I'm not a Christian. If people find that Christianity is beneficial for them, then more power to them. But as for me, I just have too many issues with the Bible, and the religious philosophy overall. I prefer spiritual philosophies that focus more on cultivating wisdom than faith.

I can't help it if he's the problem with "modern communicators being the poorest communicators". He titles his sermon "origins of Satan", and he doesn't even begin to come close to adhering to his topic. He only sermonizes about the "mortal documentation of Satan". That's it. Poor communication skills being praised by feeble minds. That's like deciding "the origin of Gravity" began with Isaac Newton, and didn't exist before Newton developed his laws of motion. And the irony is that there are modern day people who actually believe Newton invented the laws of motion. Why not? That's how college professors teach it. The best "authority" on Satan would be Jesus, since Jesus existed before anything Abraham, and from the testimony of Jesus, we see he existed before any other mortal, which makes him the original and best authority on any historical narrative of any character and any event. I testify to this due to supernatural events I have witnessed. I already said I purchased books on the dead sea scrolls. I purchased books on the lost gospels. I purchased other historic books. I learned that I had to read them quickly, because each time, within a week, they mysteriously vanished, stolen by someone or something that totally overlooked everything of material value in my home just to steal these books. If it wasn't a demon, it certainly was a mortal with lots of resources who was obviously possessed and inspired by evil principalities. Therefore, I know some evil supernatural force was at work, and since it didn't want me to know too much about these manuscripts, that tells me something right there about the origin of such forces, and thus the origin of Satan. More so than a control freak like that professor who is so poor at communication.
