So as we know, there have been 3 series, the 60s original, the 80s reboot which doesn't live up to the original, and the 90s high tech computer animated Quest World version. My brother and I grew up on the 90s version, I first started watching the original cartoons a few years ago.
And now, as maybe some people know, there is talk about making a live action Jonny Quest movie. Originally it was going to be done by the director who did Spy Kids, and I didn't have high hopes for that but I thought there could be some potential, but then they got rid of him and got some new guy and the last thing I heard was kind of a mix of Jonny Quest and Harry Potter, and I'm saying screw that, bring back the Spy Kids guy. Either way though, I really have no expectations that if it's made it'll be any good. It's simply too un PC to do in today's PC pansy world where all children's movies are dumbed down to speak to viewers like brain dead little babies. Also, this is live action, WHO would be Race Bannon? Everybody says the Rock, screw that, and WHAT about Bandit?

They'll probably cast Grumpy Cat as Bandit.
It's sad for me, tainting the fond memories I have of Saturday mornings watching reruns.

This is from last summer. TEXT: Robert Rodriguez seems no longer attached to helm that live action PG-13 Jonny Quest adaptation that he co-wrote with Terry Rossio (the Pirates Of The Caribbean series) and Dan Mazeau (Wrath Of The Titans). According to Forbes, Justin Lin (Star Trek Beyond), Scott Derrickson (Doctor Strange), and Joe Cornish (Attack The Block) are all in the mix as potential replacements. www.avclub.com/article/robert-rodriguez-wont-direct-jonny-quest-movie-he--240325

Him I actually had some hope of actual potential from. Now that he's gone, I have less than zero. On the subject of a movie, one item that has been brought up a few times, Jade, to be or not to be? I say HELL NO. She worked for the cartoon but she would NOT work in a movie, especially the insanely crappy way they try to write all romance relationships in films these days.

Can any cartoon series beat the amazing opening to the original 60s version? I can still see those images with my mind's eye!

The 1960's version is the best, skip the 1980's Saturday morning poc and the 1990's version was decent. Live action Jonny Quest is probably dead, just as well.
