I love how the mist between the trees forms a shape of a tree. It's extremely well done. Thank you. I really appreciate that. I was trying to get the mist effect down. I’m glad it showed through. Also, the reflection in the puddles. It’s subtle. I wish I had made them bigger.

I think you nailed it. You're only going to get better and better. From the paintings i've seen you're way ahead. Keep it up! I'm always in complete awe of people who can create something from nothing. I do not have that ability. You have a talent and I hope you continue to feed it.

You are very talented! I love trees so my favourites are the the first one and the one of the pond, but all are fantastic. You should make a youtube channel.

Do you do any preliminary pencil work or do you just go with the flow? Looking at Bob Ross’s videos I can see how there didn’t appear to be much (if any) preplanning but I’m pretty sure that he had all the elements in his head so when he drew a tree or a lake he knew what they looked like before applying any paint.
Of course when you are following a tutorial video none of what I asked actually applies.

This was my first attempt at an oil painting. my mountain lake picture. Was that also Bob Ross? I think you and my gram did a lot of similar paintings. I'll have to try and post a few. I swear that I have one like that hung up at my mom's place.
