They’re gonna get Michael Giacchino to do the score, aren’t they?

Scripted by a writer I dislike and produced by a director I dislike.
I’m hoping this is an early April Fool’s.

Guy has two writing credits to his name. One book and one screenplay. Neither having anything to do with comics. Naturally he should be given Superman. It's the perfect fit.
Edit: 2 IMDb writing credits. I see he's written a lot actually.

I guess that Michael B. Jordan rumor is back on the table.

I guess that Michael B. Jordan rumor is back on the table. A tweet assuming the next Superman will be black because of the writer's not Dickensian sounding name is hilarious.

Next question is who’s going to direct it?

I personally like Abrams... but he's only producing. He isn't writing and it doesn't seem like he will be directing either. So I feel like how much his creative presence will really be felt is kinda TBA.

So he can now ruin Superman with his creative ineptitude the same way he derailed the new Star Wars trilogy from the start.
Also that writer pick is hilarious. Going from writing “The Case for Reparations” for The Atlantic to penning a Superman movie...
He sounds like the exact talent a superhero movie needs, JJ! Great work!

I can see how you might dislike the director, but the writer? I doubt you've read anything of his other than maybe his comics work (seeing as how you don't like him) and that has been decent. So what's the issue?

Calvin Ellis on the way, perhaps?

They could use him or Val-Zod. I just personally hope they don’t make Clark Kent black. That would just seem way too cynical and condescending. It would basically imply that the black characters that already exist aren’t good enough, on top of coming across as a blatantly obvious attempt by WB to try and cash in on the popularity of Black Panther.

I guess we'll see how it pans out-swear to god, no pun intended.

Henry Cavill’s name seems to be trending ahead of Superman. Wow! I think WB missed out on the chance to cash in on Cavill’s newfound popularity.

I don’t understand why they’re so allergic to giving Henry Cavill another shot, but are still insistent on pushing Ezra Miller. I’ve heard rumors that the issue is Cavill wanting more money, but if that’s the case, WB might as well just swallow their pride and give him what he wants. They were willing to spend $70 million on the Snyder Cut, so why not?
