I don't like the "cancel culture" it seems like the beginning of the end for freedom, if we don't like what someone says or writes, we can just ignore it but to forbid others for having their views is wrong and dangerous.

The PC crowd really hate Maher for his stand against cancel culture and white shaming. What's interesting is that the their only thing they can counter against him is making fun of his age, which, ironically, is ageism and very much hypocritical of the PC crowd.  |

Bill Maher suggested that all Muslims-Americans should be under surveillance and subject to random searches. Which, ya know...would be a little bit unconstitutional. That was around the time that I stopped watching his show. |

Bill Maher is a comedian. He's being facetious/sarcastic a lot of the times on his show. He wasn't serious about Muslim surveillance - not anymore than he was really suggesting a "honky tax" in the one video I posted in this thread. They're jokes meant to point out the ridiculousness of society.
You may not find him funny. That's fine. He's telling jokes, though.

I'm against her firing and against cancel culture in general. It's toxic and it's making things worse and not better.
On the other hand though, let Disney burn bridges and make enemies all they want. I can't wait until something bad happens and they find out that these cancel culture trolls and SJW's aren't their friends and won't stand by them in the end the way others might have.
