It's true, AEW confirmed the rumors. It'll be interesting to see Big Show in another wrestling company outside of WWE, seeing as he hasn't been apart of one in almost 23 years now.

Great news for me as he's one of my favourites. One of the first wrestlers I started a topic on here, posted a youtube video of Show running down the ramp on a collision course with giants like Big Viscera and the Big Boss Man.
I wonder if his legs are holding up okay. I mean, the Undertaker kept going on wobbly knees, so I'm sure Big Show can still bring it if they limit his time in the ring.

I just don’t think anybody involved in this company has the first clue about what to do with any real stars or about wrestling in general. There are 4 people. Jim Ross, Jake Roberts, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard and they are happy to just keep their mouths shut and get a payday.

I watched an episode of 'Dark Side Of The Ring' about wrestler Gorgeous Gino Hernandez this week. Jake Roberts was on it. They used to tag together, then get loaded on drink and drugs and hit the town.

He wasn't the greatest wrestler and not the biggest guy but he really knew how to be a heel and people can really learn from him today because I think that is lost.

I think I was just a bit too young to see him wrestle, but there were guys like Jake Roberts and Andre The Giant on the documentary that I knew.
I'm from England and I think Gino Hernandez's main partner was an English wrestler, going by his accent - his name was Chris Adams and he featured a lot. When I looked Adams up on wikipedia I read that he was one of Stone Cold Steve Austin's trainers.

Oh awesome. I remember it well. Chris Adams turned heel on the Von Erichs and then Jake and Gino were teaming with Adams in 6-mans and then Jake left the territory and Chris Adams and Gino Hernandez were the hot team for a little over a year using the name the Dynamic Duo which is the name Gino and Tully Blanchard used years prior. Chris Adams had the wrestling school and trained a lot of guys years later. Good memories. Every week I could not wait to watch World Class championship wrestling.

Thanks for the information, this is great as there's an episode of 'Dark Side Of The Ring' about the Von Erichs I have set to record next week, it will probably compliment the one I just saw.
Here in the U K, 'Dark Side Of The Ring' is screening on the channel VICE which I have access to as I subscribe to SKY TV. Just thought I'd put that out there as I find it's hard to keep up with the best places to get your wrestling fix nowadays, with so many streaming services and the like.

Sounds good let me know what you think of the von Erichs episode. I didn't watch it, but I watched the von Erichs for years.

Not one of my favourite wrestlers all things considered, but good luck to him.

Sounds good let me know what you think of the von Erichs episode. I didn't watch it, but I watched the von Erichs for years.
I watched the story of the Von Erichs who were Christian idols in Texas, coupled with a rerun on the great Canadian Dino Bravo. These stories are difficult for all concerned. With regard to the Von Erichs, they seemed to believe their faith trumped all. It's just unfortunate things went the way they did.

I'm not sure about their faith. though I do remember them going on a few of the christian programs in the 80's. They most certainly did not live the clean life. Sad to say but once Mike died, it got to the point where I was speculating who was going to be next.

Is the product bad in your opinion?

They experienced the greatest highs, but what goes up, must come down, thats what my mother taught me growing up.

You know what he said to Kevin? “The only reason you’re still alive is because you don’t have the guts to end your life and pull the trigger”. He enabled them and stuck his head in the sand every step of the way and contributed more heavily to mike and Chris’ death
