Freaks (1932)
The Omen
Tourist Trap
The Aviator (not scary per se, but definitely haunting, especially if you know what is to come)

I am glad I never did much browsing through Youtube, before finally seeing the great british gangster crime-thriller, The Long Good Friday (1980), would most likely still have loved it, but the ending sure came as the icing on the cake, made me love it even more.
Terrific acting by Hoskins, but the look of complete and utter helplessness and desperation by Mirren, and that arm slowly forcing her back in the seat, along with those chilling cold eyes of the driver, and of course the great music, and yeah, one hell of a way of finishing off a film with:

Another classic, and while maybe not "chilling", it sure comes with the haunting and very powerful feeling, through the music, scenery and of course and where Kinski, in maybe his finest role? is the last man standing, among a bunch of small monkeys, and the dead bodies, still clinging onto his insane dream of glory and power, one which pretty much sealed the fate of the unlucky crew, including his own daughter.

Gattaca (1997) also has one of those few rare endings, which gives me the chills, but not the bad one, and has always stayed with me. As you have these two very different kind of people, at least in term of backgrounds through genetics, family and also the physical part, yet they still found out, that together, they were able of beating the unbeatable odds, and where the final scene, shows they are about to take a very different kind of last journey, one that most likely will be their last one ever. But the knowing of how much they went through to get there, is almost like being halfway there already.
The Hitcher (1986) comes with also a really impressive and haunting end, and one where you wonder how all of the horror the main character went through, will affect him, as he is surely no longer the naive and innocent kid back at the beginning of the film, he is changed, for better or worse, and I really love that last shot, with C. Thomas Howell, stading alone with the car, and the beautiful and soothing score to Mark Isham going on in the background.
I guess it was kind of a "shout out" to Spielberg and his similar cat and mouse thriller in the desert, with Duel (1971).

Deliverance Psycho
The 1950s Invasion of the Body Snatchers would have had one, but the studio made them add the final scene where the authorities take the protagonist’s warnings serious. But the original ending is

What movie is that from? I'm guessing it's more of a context thing.

Of all the final shots/scenes of Arnie's classics, Predator (1987) is one of those that really stands out.
Instead of leaving the jungle like a true winner, in the usual 80s macho action style, with blasting power rock ballads and a big high five ending. There is something quite depressing and sad, where you have this last man standing, or survivor. And the look on Dutch face along with his haunting stare, as the helicopter takes off. That is a far cry away, of another heroic and patriotic hero taking off. It is the look of a defeated, and most likely broken man, who arrived along with his well trained team of highly skilled and hard as nails killers, going in as the top predators. But instead leaves behind, knowing that he has just lost all of his close friends, and most likely will have to live with the guilt of being the only survivor, and that very few, will ever believe him or give him the chance of telling what the hell went wrong in the jungle.

Michael vanishing without a trace, as seen out the window, is awesome for someone like me keeping 1978 a standalone movie. He comes back, he vengeances. He's gone.
