Not in a scary chilling way, just a very nice payoff & bridge to T2.

I love that final shot. It's almost like a microcosm for the chaos and hellishness of the whole movie.

The Birds That was stunning. I remember vividly thinking for moments on end, what on earth? The complete lack of resolution was pretty bold.

I am glad I never did much browsing through Youtube, before finally seeing the great british gangster crime-thriller, The Long Good Friday (1980), would most likely still have loved it, but the ending sure came as the icing on the cake, made me love it even more. Terrific acting by Hoskins, but the look of complete and utter helplessness and desperation by Mirren, and that arm slowly forcing her back in the seat, along with those chilling cold eyes of the driver, and of course the great music, and yeah, one hell of a way of finishing off a film with: I watched this last year for the first time and I agree, it's a terrific movie. Hoskins is electric, Mirren is great too, and who knew Pierce Brosnan could be this creepy.

This is more chilling, but it's the penultimate scene:

I can't seem to find any clips/gifs/images, but since there have been quite a few great and unforgettable horror film shots, posted in here, I remember one, which really scared the hell out of me, when I saw the film as a kid. And that is final image from The Return of the Living Dead (1985), and where a zombiefied Freddy, burst through the attic ceiling, about to kill some of the last few desperate survivors, and in the same second, the big nuke is getting released upon the little town, and it just was such a creepy and shocking ending, as back then, I had never seen a zombie/splatter film and when you are that young, the black comedy parts, just went way beyond me, and all I could think of was all the gruesome stuff that took place, the nasty zombies, Tar-man and yeah, re-watched it last year, fun and gory as hell, but still some of the scenes manages to make my heart pump, a little faster, as I know what comes up, and it still kind of makes me feel unsafe and unsettled, which very few zombie films ever come close to.
