I know I’m probably in the minority on this, but I believe there should be less boards, not more.
Do we really need separate boards for:
Lists and Recommendations – most of these threads could easily be posted in Film General
Best and Worst – is pretty much just a weekly “what did you watch” board. I can see an argument for keeping this separate if the contributors prefer this, but they may get more responses on the Film General Board. The name probably should be changed at least
Movie Reviews – I don’t think there is enough to warrant a separate board. Again, your reviews will probably be seen by more people on Film General
Movie Awards – they usually get discussed on Film General anyway
Film General is not that busy PLUS there is a search function, your threads are not going to get lost
Is this a not unreasonable suggestion?
If it’s not popular obviously it won’t happen

Reviews and Awards have been on the chopping block for a while, as well as Now Playing and Upcoming Films. I wouldn't mind adding Best and Worst to the kill list, but Lists and Recommendations has to stay for now.

as well as Now Playing and Upcoming Films. Didn't think of that one, but there's probably no real reason to segregate it either. Most posters there also post on FG and plenty of topics on new films get posted on FG.

I know that this may seem as if I am being uncharacteristically smart-arsed, but I really think we should reduce the number of film boards to one, for a variety of reasons; and not just because watching FG posters' heads explode, both literally and metaphorically, when confronted with complex foreign titles like Un Flic or Banlieue 13 will be highly amusing! I saw Un Flic during the 1970s but back then it was called Dirty Money and dubbed into English.

I rarely look at the Film boards because what I miss is the discussion about individual movies, like we did back on the old site. Lists of film names does nothing for me, couldn't care less. But discussion of one movie, on one thread, would be welcome. IMHO. Then that thread can be searched for to continue discussion.
