After seeing a story about "6 hikers missing in Idyllwild" (2 have been found), I came across Lydia "Dia" Abrams, 65, one of the missing "hikers." (I put hikers in quotations because she was last seen at the ranch she owns (I think she lived there), 11 miles from Idyllwild.) After doing a search here, I was surprised to not see anything about her case! There are some interesting pieces, and this doesn't seem to be a tragic hiking accident.
Dia has been missing since June 2020.
Here's the first article I found from the local paper
An update from September 2020
And an update from February 16, 2021
Thought this section from the September update was interesting:
"Detectives described Abrams’ disappearance as a "possible homicide" in search warrants obtained by News 8.
"Abrams went missing under suspicious circumstances and foul play is suspected,” Riverside detectives wrote in a June 9 warrant.
In a June 8 search warrant served on the Bonita Vista Ranch, investigators seized a list of evidence, including a tan bed sheet with possible blood, a band-aid with possible blood, a piece of toilet paper with possible blood, two spent bullet casings (with F and REM markings), two handwritten letters, and a Netgear router, News 8 has learned.
On June 12, detectives traveled to New Mexico and seized a Ford RV belonging to Keith Harper, Abrams’ 71-year-old fiancé. Investigators impounded the vehicle and removed a "section of front driver seat" as evidence, according to the search warrant."
Also this part: "Additionally, Abrams has been involved in a multimillion-dollar court battle with her children in San Diego probate court, concerning her late husband’s estate." and the fact that one of the apartments she owned was searched where the found plants & processed cannabis. That part isn't too suspicious because it could've been run by the renters and its common in the area, but the amount is more than the average neighbor.
(Bonus creepy quote from an interview with her fiancé, shown in the Feb update, "“I have no reason to bring harm to her. I loved that woman,” Harper said during the August interview." This interview was in August, 2 months after her disappearance).
What I would give for access to the info LE has...
Thoughts?? Will we get an answer? How much information just hasn't been shared with the public?
