Ah yes, because The Rock looks like Black Adam and wanted in to that super hero fun.
I’m surprised that Marvel didn’t give him Namor.

The movie literally nobody asked for. Literally. I still can't get over how stupid this is.

The movie literally nobody asked for. Literally. I still can't get over how stupid this is. How is it stupid? It's a movie about a DC villain that the general public has never heard of before. Made only because The Rock looks like the character. Who now they're making an anti-hero, because... well... you have to, if you're going to make a solo film. Not to mention it's a Captain Marvel villain, but he wasn't introduced in a Shazam movie. Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

Talk about putting the cart before the horse. I admit, I'm not a fan of SHAZAM, so my knowledge of it is a little shaky, but I thought Black Adam was made an anti-hero over a decade ago in the comics? Something about being possessed and having a lack of personal autonomy, so it wasn't really him of his own free will (a la Hawkeye, Loki, and Dr.Selvig in AVENGERS).

Snap them necks!
"Black Adam producer Hiram Garcia promises that the DCEU movie's PG-13 rating won't restrict the titular antihero's onscreen body count."
