It's all over. Liverpool, one shot on target late on, and 7th Anfield league game with no win - in fact, 5th home league defeats on the trot wtf. Chelsea nudge Everton off 4th spot.
Next up for Liverpool, here against Fulham, who on this showing must fancy their chances, while Chelsea entertain Everton.

Kicking the ball into Mane's face deserved a yellow.
But on the other hand Chelsea look a bit tougher since the coaching change. Good win for the Blues.

He wasnt performing well enough and it was time for some fresh blood. Fair enough, though he seems to do something good every time I watch Liverpool. I would think there are other guys to bench. That #66 seems to mess up a lot. Yes, TAA has not been himself this season. But, its rare to sub defenders(although backs do a lot of attacking in modern football) in football.

BTW. All 3 EPL matches finished 0-1
Well deserved win for Chelsea. They were tigerish in the tackle and pressed Liverpool's defenders continuously and successfully

As Roy Keane put it "On this form, "it'll be another 30 years before they win another title"

Was that not a handball? No PK for Liverpool? Kante's arm was up and I was expecting a penalty. But more puzzling was Fulham's disallowed goal by Maja shortly after Lemina's naturally positioned arm (down at his side) was struck close-range by an attempted clearance by Tottenham's Sanchez. The thing is, if Lemina's arm had been raised, in what they call an unnatural position, the ball would have come off his hip, followed the same path to Maja, and the goal would have stood. As it was, Lemina was penalized for being literally a yard from Sanchez and having his arm in an absolutely natural position, all in the space of about one second. And I'm also not convinced that Sanchez, under pressure in the area with no clear route to deal with the Fulham attack, didn't deliberately slam the ball where he did in order to bring a halt to the play for a Tottenham free-kick for handball before the goal was even scored.

Further to that...
Meanwhile, not to be outdone, Fifa's chief of global football development, Arsene Wenger, has proposed another change "which would see a player deemed onside if any part of them that can score a goal is in line with the second-last defender" I can't even understand that in the context of an attack let alone have an opinion on it.
I'll stick with the first one.

I'll stick with the first one. Looking at the Werner thing, I get what Wenger is saying. Part of Werner was behind the second last defender and his shirt sleeve was a tiny bit after the defender. Maybe they should just simplify the offside rules. But no, they seem to make even less simple each year. Footballers being offside because of their armpits, shirt sleeves or their well defined ass, its stupid.

Looking at it again, I see what you mean. Robertson, is it? seemed to be playing Werner on regardless of Ziyech being definitely over the line. I'm still not clear on any of it. It needs simplifying. Not too long ago there used to be silly sexist jokes on TV about women not understanding the offside rule. Who's laughing now.

it's time to seriously consider scrapping the offside rule altogether
