The Ken Burns "Trilogy", Civil War, Baseball, Vietnam (don't care for either Jazz or C/W music so I never watched) World at War Cinema Europe: The Other Hollywood (awesome doc about the Silent Era in Europe) The Seven Five (corrupt NYPD precinct) Third Reich The Great War (YouTube series dealing with WWI, 750+ episodes) Planet Earth I & II Michael Wood's In Search of... I have one friend who's loves Silent films; I'll have to make sure he's seen Cinema Europe A few people added Planet Earth 1 and 11. the one about the corrupt NYPD looks good too Thanks for your list TheGoodMan

Great narration by Kenneth Branagh. I'm a huge silent fan and it opened a huge door for me. I had heard of very few of these films other than Able Gance's Napoleon and Louise Brooks' Pandora's Box. I watch with a pad and pen and kept jotting down titles.

Cool, easy for him to find. I've tried a few times especially Chaplin films but nope, can't get into them. I'll make sure he knows about it though.
