I attempted to watch this and shut if off about an hour in. A tremendous disappointment considering all of the talent involved. And to think Landis directed it in between Spies Like Us and Coming to America, two comedies I thought were hysterical.
On to The Terminator (1984)!

I thought it was cute. Not a laugh riot, but not unwatchable. It walks so Galaxy Quest and Tropic Thunder can run.

Spies Like Us deserves more recognition. And the “Three Amigos” doesn’t.
I agree. This film gets so much praise. And I don’t get it. I mean, it’s alright. But forgettable. Most people I know have seen it.
However, I believe Spies Like Us is superior, and very few people I know outside of message boards have seen it.

This movie taught me what a plethora was.
"Wherever there is injustice, you will find us ...
Wherever there is suffering, we'll be there ...
Wherever liberty is threatened, you will find ...
... The Three - Amigos!!!"

It's an 80s comedy classic. It's basically a spoof of The Magnificent Seven. Chase, Short and Martin are in top form.
Alfonso Arau is great as the villain EL Guapo.

Chase has said this movie was the most fun he had working on a movie.
Landis has said the studio edited the movie behind his back since he was busy preparing for his Twilight Zone trial at the time.

I agree, it’s quite disappointing, Spies Like Us and Coming to America both much funnier.

I don’t understand why people DON’T like this movie. I’ve always liked it. I caught on right away it was a spoof of Magnificent 7 which I thought was funny, but I also think this is everyone’s best performance!!! Chase looks like he’s having a blast and so does everyone else!!!

I liked it enough as a kid, admittedly been afraid to re-visit. Select scenes are still funny.

I've seen only parts of it on TV. Seems harmless but kind of 'meh' at the same time.

I haven't seen it since I was a kid so my memory is lacking for it.

A teacher in school called a trio of kids 'the Three Amigos' after this came out.

A delight, esp. Martin Short. "Sew, old woman. Sew like the wind."

I found it to be a very funny movie, as was Spies Like Us. Not sure what one has to do with the other, but I really enjoyed Three Amigos.
Honestly, one of Chevy Chase's most funny roles, a surprisingly honest and funny portrayal of how douchie he kind of really is.
8/10

Chase and Martin, we’re okay. Martin was much better in “The Jerk” and Chase was much better as “Clark Griswold”
