I really do like this movie. It has two of my favorite actors (Hopkins and Baldwin), and a really compelling storyline executed flawlessly. I watched it twice today. It was so grand!! Any fans?

Yes. I love it. Never watched it more than once in one day but must have watched it close to 20 times in total.

It's ok. It's different. The bear is very impressive.
I liked the trick of using ice to start a fire.

It has two of my favorite actors (Hopkins and Baldwin), Don't be snubbing Bart. It's a good survivalist flick. Too bad Sully wasn't flying.

I always liked it. I love Hopkins in a role where you’d think he’d be a fish out of water but he’s secretly been a bird this whole time. The bear sequences are great. I used to always get confused by whether or not Baldwin wanted to murder Charles from the get go tho.

Solid survival flick. I thought this was Bart the Bear’s last movie but apparently he was also in something called Meet the Deedles(?).

Its been a while, i just remember not being able to decipher how Charles knew that before the plane crash.

It was pretty good, but I'm not high on movies that are "contrived for convenience of control". By that, I mean the moderate character is conveniently killed first, in order to make the two conflicting characters be in the arena. This happens way too much in literature and in Hollywood.
The "contrived for convenience" factor isn't so bad here, since it's one character killed in order for the writer to have two be in conflict. Many stories kill off three or four characters to pit two "demi gods" against each other, and when I see this, the stage appears, and it's like the writer and his buddies are on stage with the characters, drinking tea and typing the story. I just can't get around the idea that someone "controls" such stories with a heavy hand.
