Mentioned in the article was that she also directed, the debut was produced by Ingmar Bergman.  Paradistorg 1977 aka Paradise Place aka Summer Paradise. About conflicts that can appear when you gather too many relatives during a short period of time. Made at beautiful locations in the Stockholm archipelago  Sally och Friheten aka Sally and Freedom 1981, About choices in life and responsibilities. Sally has decided to have an abortion. It starred Ewa Fröling in her early part of her career, and Gunn Wållgren as her mother, Gunn was sadly nearing the end of her career.  Sommarkvällar på jorden aka Summer Nights 1987 became her last cinema movie, the other three were made for TV. Existential questions with no answers, and not many were interested. The first two were commercially successful, especially Sally, as questions about the freedom of abortion were heavily debated at the time of release, at least in Sweden, so it came very timely. Just a little "meat on the bones" about the cinema movies she directed. |
