Why wasn't there a thread for this one?
Anyway the trailers look for this one, then again they did for all the DC movies and they've all had poor reviews.
Hopefully this one breaks the streak because I certainly don't expect Justice League too.
What are your thoughts?

I really want this to be good, but I'm worried. Especially after Suicide Squad.

Both BvS and MOS looked a bit too bleak, like they were trying to be some kind of thriller-drama hybrid instead of a superhero film. Wonder Woman trailer looks like a solid action-adventure though of the more serious type (more LoTR than Indiana Jones). That said, I loved the trailer for Suicide Squad and was pretty disappointed by the movie so I'm going to keep my expectations low and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

The best possible scenario as of now looks -
RT - 60% Domestic Opening - 85M Total Worldwide - 500M

I think it'll be fine, WB has no clue how to work WW meaning they feel like they have little say, meaning their director can be left alone for a minute, same with Aquaman. With Superman, Batman, The Flash, they're well known properties, and relatively successful (well maybe supes a tad less) meaning executives will try and get their say, side producers, assistant producers, all think they know what's best trying to throw their weight around. SS is a bit of an isolated incident since WB freaked the fuck out immediately after BvS.
My only concern is the screenplay (since Geoff is not a screenplay writer) and Jenkins, since she hasn't been an active producer, now I feel that WW is in better hands with Jenkins than Michelle's, but I'm still a little hesitant.

I hope its good, so far the trailers are all on point. I am afraid it might end up being generic.

I hope that this is the one. Not just for DCEU but for all future superhero movies with a female lead. This will be the standard that Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Gotham City Sirens, etc. will be judged by.

My issue with SS was that it ended up being generic and safe although the trailers promised it to be weird and interesting.

Wonder Woman is my favorite DC superhero. That being said, I'm not hoping for the movie to be anything more or less than an entertaining popcorn movie.

Still not convinced that Gal Gadot can act at all.

I don't think WW will get a high score on RT though we will see.
RT 41% Domestic 320 mil Worldwide 450-500 mil

At this point, I'm expecting MoS and BvS levels of crap. I have no reason to think otherwise.

Yeah with SS MoS and BvS, there is not much faith in DC. I'm hoping this movie will turn it around.

some youtube channels (like nerdist news) are praising the footage they had preview, so we could expect this one would be better received by critics and audience~
