Mr. Perfect
"Before Dolph Ziggler started to claim perfection, there was Mr. Perfect. Curt Hennig aka Mr. Perfect was truly “perfection” when he stepped in the ring. His cockiness, aggression and technique created classic matches with almost anyone he stepped in the ring with. Let’s just put it this way: Curt Hennig had swagger way before the word became overly popular. His matches were exceptional; you appreciated Hennig’s technique as he looked to capitalize on every maneuver. To think that this incredible talent never held the two major titles in the WWE and WCW is just crazy. Although he never won the big one in the WWE, we can still look back and appreciate his work, as it was "perfection."
- Tyler Williams, Bleacher Report
'He was an AWA world champ before he ever became the man known as Mr. Perfect. If you paid attention beyond his conceited personality, you would realize you had just witnessed one of the most smooth and cunning and technically superior wrestlers of all time. I was in awe every time I saw him fight.'
- Curt Hennig ranks as Number 3 Greatest Technical Wrestler of All-Time (behind Kurt Angle at Number 2 & Bret Hart at Number 1), Bleacher Report
"I'll be honest; I think it didn't matter who was on the card that day. We were gonna steal the show. Curt and I had had so many great matches in the years before SummerSlam. I would dare say that probably a lot of our other matches were better than anything we did at SummerSlam. When SummerSlam came, Curt, he had a lot of back problems that were ailing him pretty good. He really wanted to have that match. When he heard he was gonna wrestle me, no matter what happened, he was gonna be there for me. But he couldn't really train really hard for that match. His cardio might not have been what he wanted it to be. But he still showed up, and even with whatever hindrances we might have had, we were still gonna have the best match on the card. I don't think there was anybody in the business who could have topped us that day."
- Bret Hart, Bleeding Cool
"Eat my shoe."

One of the greatest wrestlers of all time, he truly lived up to his name. Had he not gotten injured in the early 90s, he could have ended up having an even greater career than he already did. For those that haven’t, watch his match series against Bret Hart for some of the best of old school wrestling.

Do you remember when he used to spit gum out, while displaying complete contempt for the paying customers? He even destroyed Hulk Hogan's championship belt with a hammer at the height of Hulkamania, shocking South Dakotan Mean Gene Okerlund. He was tough though as well as athletic, came up on the same wrestling scene as Nikita Koloff, Brady Boone, Smash, Nord The Barbarian and Ravishing Rick Rude. The Road Warriors came together in Minnesota. Those guys didn't mess around.

He was a legend in every sense of the word. Regardless of specifics, he was one of the best of his era.

I can't say I grew up with him, but I remember finding his return in 2002 to be exciting because I was somewhat familiar with who he was by then. With this said, he probably should've had a WrestleMania match with Kurt Angle that year.

Mr. Perfect was one of my favourite wrestlers when I was a kid. I was only little though when he was at his peak.

Yes, it would've been very technical no doubt, and their feud overall could've really delved into their talents. Mr. Perfect was a literal renaissance man, hence his name, while Kurt Angle had a big wrestling background as an Olympic Gold Medalist.

Curt Hennig is absolutely one of my all time favorites. Definitely should have held a world title at least once.

I think Bret mentioned (on his DVDs) that Curt was probably the safest worker he'd ever shared the ring with, including himself & how much he prided that aspect too.
Safest of course not about lameness but about executing anything in the ring without fear of injury or mishap.
