I would say so. There are many rappers who I think have great lyrics but are so vocally harsh that I can't listen. And some are just trying to be arrogant and piss you off. Nearly every rapper's first album is loaded with braggadocio and I just can't stand hearing every rapper irrationally claiming to be the best in a tone deaf introduction.

Yes, but most people are not willing to take the chance. So many "rap is crap" people who would never press play on that video.

Sure. Admittedly, rap isn't something I normally listen to, but listening to it doesn't make my ears bleed. I can hear and appreciate the talent and know there's a craft and skill to it.
