For Comcast/Xfinity? My dog sat on the remote and something wonky happened. I unplugged the cable box to reboot it and unplugged the TV as well, and the TV stayed on something called The Movie Hub. (I've never heard of it, but it was running on the screen without any source of electricity). I was pushing buttons all over the place after plugging the TV back in, rebooting and doing a system refresh. I still don't know how he managed to hit the perfect combo of buttons with his butt (or his nose), but it's taken me all afternoon just to get OUT of The Movie Hub (which was showing some movie while bleeping out swear words and having one or two peculiar commercials before going back to a movie that I'm guessing was probably featured on MST3K at some point, it was so bizarre. I eventually got the guide up, but now I can't recognize the channels, except the excessively large block of sports channels which I don't want. Can someone help me, east coast for a reference?

Do you by any chance live on Maple Street? (Rod Searling reference)
BTW, MeTV is channel 8 Xfinity in North & central New Jersey.

can't be answered without knowing your zip code Just because it's comcast doesn't mean the channel line up is the same. The same channel I got on comcast in the seattle area on channel 215 is 133 here in the Philly area. www.metv.com/wheretowatch/affiliate/504 - that should help you find it for your area.

You might need to contact the cable company. Sounds like your cable box borked.

The part that interests me here is that 'tv running with no electricity on' thing. If you ever get that one figured out, let us know. My wallet could use a break from the utility company.
