It steams on FITE TV for $4.99/month. I'm investing in 1 month out of curiosity because I was a big fan of the pre-covid Corgan NWA.
We shall see.

It was a pretty good return for NWA Powerr. Some good matches and introductions of new storylines, including an unexpected face turn from Aron Steven's.
The one drawback was the piped in studio crowd noise.
7/10

I remember Aron Stevens as Damien Sandow in WWE. Vince McMahon turned him into a joke as punishment and his partner Cody Rhodes got sidelined as wrestling glitterfreak Stardust.
Is this promotion now owned by Billy Corgan? If so, does it use music by Smashing Pumpkins?
Are some of the wrestlers on the roster also connected to Impact wrestling? I recognised a few names when reading about it online.

This is Bill Corgan's NWA. They have done a few crossover events with Impact, ROH and most recently AEW. The theme song is currently the 80's song "Into the Fire" by Dokken. Probably for the retro feel of studio wrestling.

Decent 2nd episode which included a title change as Chris Adonis defeated Trevor Murdoch for the NWA National Championship. Also a good teaser for Next week when Pope will defend his TV Title. Also Aron Stevens and JR Kratos will defend the Tag Team belts against Sal Rinauro and a yet to be named partner. Tension between Stevens and Rinauro due to Stevens' recent face turn could make this an interesting matchup. Good old fashioned studio rasslin', but the pumped in crowd noise is still a bit annoying.

Not a great 3rd episode. The Tag Team Title match teased in week 2 never happened. Pope's TV title defense was a very quick but entertaining match. Probably their weakest entry since returning but I still enjoyed it more than any other pro wrestling offered.
Still pumping in that damn crowd noise.
5/10

Interesting that last night's episode was called NWA PowerrrSurge because it was only 30 minutes long and featured 1 squash match, a couple of interviews and basically a storyline recap from the first 3 episodes, and of course the squash match had piped in crowd noise again.
By far the weakest of the new shows thus far and just before the $4.99 monthly subscription is set to renew. I'm going to give it another month because I liked the first 3 episodes and I'm curious about where the NWA is going, but if the steady decline in quality continues this will be the last month.

Probably for the retro feel of studio wrestling. They should probably stay away from AEW so it doesn't kill their credibility, but they are a national company so I can see why they would.

Are these online "influencers" who never explain their views just trying to make big money? Jim Ross admits the money is huge and you fight for your stake. Influencers like Jim Cornette line their wallets by bitching 24/7. They act like they want wrestling entertainment to die, their product was golden and their shit don't stink. I don't know why they don't find another hobby already, or just watch reruns from the 1980s.

Cornette has over 200,000 followers and his podcasts are quite entertaining. If he's got sponsors and listeners, why should he find a new "hobby"?

Did not get a chance to watch Powerrr as it aired last night. Will most likely be watching tonight.

A pretty good episode featuring 4 matches 3 of which were very good and 1 that ended abruptly due to outside interference.
Tensions between NWA Tag Team Champions Aron Stevens and JR Kratos continue to mount.
The piped in crowd noise continues.
6/10

If he's got sponsors and listeners, why should he find a new "hobby"? there are people who think he says things he doesn’t believe to make money on a podcast. It is quite the opposite. He would say things that cost him money if it’s what he believes. He hates what’s happening in modern wrestling and he pisses on the bad stuff which there is plenty of and there is a large audience that feels the same and tune in to hear it.

Another good/not great episode. The rift between the NWA tag team champions grows, and Pope again defended the TV title. The Trevor Murdoch/Nick Aldis feud culminated in a 6 man tag team bout where if Murdoch's team won he'd get a rematch for the NWA National Title but if his team lost he would accept a 30 day suspension from the NWA. His team consisting of Murdoch, Aron Stevens and Tim Storm lost to Chris Adonis, Thom Latimer and Kratos. Another 6/10 and yes, the pumped in crowd noise is still there.

Another recap show with a single squash match. Lots of reflection on Trevor Murdoch-Nick Aldis feud and the growing heat between World Tag Champs Aron Stevens and JR Kratos. A 14 man battle royal was teased as part of the upcoming PPV with the winner getting the next shot at NWA Champ Nick Aldis.
Another 1 match half hour show that still managed piped in crowd noise.
4/10. If I'm getting recap shows once a month I may drop my subscription.

More squash matches. More piped in crowd noise. Teasing the tension between the tag team champions to the point of beating a dead horse. Now teasing a power struggle between Nick Aldis and Billy Corgan at the top of the NWA. This was just a bad episode.
The Thunder Rosa/Kamille confrontation was a good piece but could not save what was the worst entry by far.
2/10 Both points go to Thunder Rosa and Kamille
My subscription runs out in 2 weeks.

A better episode last Tuesday. Didn't watch until tonight due to my own busy schedule. A hint of heat between NWA president Billy Corgan and NWA Champion Nick Aldis. Thunder Rosa had a good match and the battle royal lineup was filled out a little more.
The growing internal heat between tag team champions Aron Stevens and Kratos was teased some more and the pumped in crowd noise still exists but I'm renewing for another month.
7/10
