A very good episode this week with the 14 man battle royal to determine Nick Aldis' opponent for the upcoming PPV was won by Trevor Murdoch . More heat between tag team champs Kratos and Aron Stevens after a mystery person interfered on their behalf in a title defense. The NWA National Championship was vacated by Chris Adonis so he could enter the battle royal for a shot at the World Championship. After their loss there, both he and Thom Latimer were publicly berated by champion Nick Aldis. The highlight was the match between Thunder Rosa and Kamille in a back and forth contest that made one almost believe it was real. The contest ended in a 20 minute draw just as Rosa had Kamille on the verge of submission . For the 2nd week in a row Tim Storm was away "on assignment". Possibly the best show of the reboot. Next week will be a recap show leading into the June 6 PPV. The pumped in crowd noise continues. Hopefully the next set of tapings includes a real audience. 8/10

"When our Shadows Fall" PPV Results The biggest news from the PPV was the NWA Women's Championship changing hands with Kamille defeating Serena Deeb.
In a non-title match Tyrus defeated Pope when Tyrus' manager Austin Idol slipped him an object which he used to knock Pope out(gotta love old school bad guys).
An uninspired women's tag team match which seemed tacked on. It was a waste of Thunder Rosa's great ring work.
A 3-way NWA tag-team title match saw Aron Stevens and JR Kratos retain despite growing heat between them leading up to the match. Looks like that storyline continues.
A very entertaining main even pitted Trevor Murdoch against Champion Nick Aldis. A back and forth match that ended with Thomas Latimer handing Aldis a chair which he uses on Murdoch. His 2nd blow missed and Murdoch got the chair and retaliated. Of course the referee only saw the retaliatory strike and Murdoch was disqualified. Overall it was worth the 20 bucks but I really hope the next set of tapings includes an actual in-studio audience. The pumped if crowd noise is very annoying.

The latest episode of Powerrr started with an announcement from Billy Corgan about back to back PPV events in August. The first event will be an all women's PPV promoted by Mickkie James. Considering who her husband is it's no surprise that she'd end up working in the NWA. The 2nd is the NWA 73rd Anniversary PPV. Both shows will be in St Louis and they expect to have spectators.
The rest of the show was a rehash of the results of the PPV with a couple of squash matches tossed in. The night culminated with Nick Aldis and Strictly Business coronating Kamile as the new NWA Women's Champion.
A brief mention was made of an upcoming tournament for the vacant NWA National Title. Suspiciously absent were NWA Tag-Team Champs JR Kratos and Aron Stevens.
There were about 30-50 actual fans at this taping. It was a big step up from the pumped in crowd noise.

A pretty good episode this week featuring Trevor Murdoch opening the show. It seems his storyline with Nick Aldis isn't over.
First match was a 3 way women's match with Melina defeating Jennacide and Kenzie Page. Melina did not look good in victory. Never been a fan of 3 way matches.
This was followed by a strange "No Contest" between Aron Stevens and PJ Hawx when both wrestlers were attacked by newly arrived Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf. They later stated they have their sights set on the Tag Team belts currently held by Stevens and JR Kratos.
2nd appearance of a mystery masked wrestler who claims to be signed by Billy Corgan himself and doesn't seem to like anybody.
The field for the vacant NWA National title narrows.
Overall a very good show, despite the fact that top stars did not appear in this episode. New talent was introduced and hopefully a complete roster will fill out. There was a small in-studio crowd that seemed to be supplemented by piped in crowd noise (Anybody who has read this thread knows what I think of that).
7/10. Solid show.

A pretty good episode last night. New women's talent introduced included former champion and AEW contract player Serena Deeb, Kylie Rae, Taryn Terrell, Jennacide and Skye Blue. Seems like they are filling the roster for the upcoming all women's PPV being produced by Mickie James. Regulars Kamille, Melina, and Thunder Rosa all got interview time as well.
4 matches with a live audience (about 30 or so people) included the unknown masked man supposedly signed by Mr Billy Corgan himself defeating jobber Mimms. Tyrus (with Austin Idol) defeated BLKJeez & Jordan Clearwater who bizarrely laid down the second the bell rung allowing Tyrus to pin both. A poorly promoted but enjoyable grudge match between Crimson and Slice Boogie which Crimson won. The main event was a 3-way match (I really don't care for those) where the winner squares off next week for the vacant NWA National Title. Chris Adonis, Thom Latimer, and Parrow squared off with Adonis winning the match and some decent heat developing between Strictly Business teammates Latimer and Adonis.
A very entertaining show. 8/10

To say this week's episode was a disappointment is an understatement. It started with a decent enough match between Jennacide and newcomer Lady Frost. The scheduled TV Title match between Sal Rinaro and champion pope was postponed due to an "injury" Rinaro sustained during an interview when he was attacked by Colby Corino (another recent NWA arrival). Tyrus with manage Austin Idol then cut a promo on all the parties involved whicj led Pope to offer to wrestle Tyrus then and there but Austin Idol pulled the plug on that sayin the match would be held when they decided it would be.
The TV title match was replaced with a 6 man "exhibition" with Aron Stevens, Mims, & Captain YUMA vs. Kratos, PJ Hawx, & Luke Hawx. The father/son team of PJ and Luke Hawx has no charisma and the only claim to fame was 2 years ago when the son did a leap from the balcony of a shopping mall. Tag team champs Stevens and Kratos seemed to be getting on better despite being on opposite sides. Could there be a face turn for Kratos?
A couple of promos followed where JTG and Chris Adonis discussed their upcoming match for the vacant NWA National Championship. Then Thunder Rosa did a brief promo teasing the main event matchup between Melina and Kylie Rae which Rae won. Decent match.
The whole episode was kind of all over the place. Also for the 2nd straight week no sign of NWA Champion Nick Aldis.
5/10

A good but not great episode tonight. The most interesting aspect is the rekindling of the Thunder Rosa/Serena Deeb feud that started on AEW but now seems like it may be a crossover battle. A few good angles being played topped off with an anticlimactic main event for the National Heavyweight title. NWA Television Championship: Da Pope (c) def. Sal Rinauro - Serena Deeb & Kylie Rae def. Thunder Rosa & Skye Blue - NWA Lucha Rules: La Rebellion & Homicide def. Hawx Aerie & El Rudo - NWA National Championship: Chris Adonis def. JTG 6/10 Nick Aldis once again absent from taping.

Another "Power Surge" episode last night. 2 forgettable matches with "up and comers" which included a 3-way match (anybody who has read this thread knows what I think of those). It started out as a horrible episode.
It was however saved as the 2nd half of the show was a tribute to Joseph "Jocephus" Hudson (AKA Jocephus Brody, AKA The Question Mark), including a full replay of the tag team match where he and his spiritual advisor took on Tim Storm and David Arquette in a hair vs hair match. It was a touching tribute to a complex ring personality.
1st half of the show 0/10 2nd half 10/10
